TOP LAWYER TAKES THE INITIATIVE AGAINST EUROLINX

Payments processor hires Frank Catania to go
after failed online poker group
Players and software provider may be awaiting the
appointment of liquidators in the Jo Remme - Eurolinx
debacle (see previous InfoPowa reports), but online
payment processor PIC Club's CEO Chuck Kidd has gone
into action, hiring respected lawyer and online gambling
expert Frank Catania to protect his company's interests.
Reports appearing on the message boards quote from a
Catania communication to Eurolinx which claims:
"The agreement [with PIC Club for its services] also
provides that exclusive jurisdiction and venue for
resolution of any legal action arising from the
agreement shall lie in the federal courts of Costa Rica
and that any such action shall be resolved in accordance
with Costa Rican law.
"Therefore, if we are
unable to amicably resolve this matter, it is my
client's intention to institute suit in Costa Rica
immediately.
"Should Eurolinx fail to appear, my
client will request a default judgment in Costa Rica,
and will seek enforcement of the Costa Rican judgment in
the courts of Malta or Curacao.
"In this
connection, I also remind you that the agreement between
the parties provides that attorney's fees and other
costs of litigation, enforcement and collection, can be
recovered by PIC Club and will be added to any
judgment."
Whether either Jo Remme or his company
has responded to the communication is not known.
