NETPLAYTV ENTERS SWEDISH BINGO MARKET
21 November 2008
Online launch to precede interactive television
and mobile operations
London-listed NetPlay TV plc, an interactive gambling
company, has announced the launch of a Swedish version
of its popular bingo product, Bingos.com. The Swedish
site will initially launch via the Internet but the
company plans to follow this by integrating its TV and
mobile products. Bingos.com currently operates as an
Internet site in the UK, Spain, Italy and Poland.
Bingo is a popular game in Sweden with more than 100
land based bingo halls, 575 non-profit bingo licenses in
issue and one of the highest propensities to gamble in
Europe with more than 85 percent of the population
participating in gambling, claims a company spokesman.
This, aligned with one of the highest levels of internet
penetration throughout Europe, makes Sweden a very
attractive market.
NetPlay says the addition of another country to the
already established sites in Spanish, Italian and Polish
will benefit all players as the prize fund will be
increased further.
Dominic Mansour, CEO of the Eurobingo.com subsidiary
said: "We are really excited about the Swedish online
bingo launch. This further establishes us as the
strongest pan-European online bingo brand. The high
internet penetration and propensity to play bingo makes
Sweden a key market for us. We are fortunate to be in a
position to be able to quickly launch into any new
market throughout Europe by building upon our existing
liquidity."
