CALLING THE YOUNG GUNS
21 November 2008
The North American Online College Poker
Championship offers prize money and tuition
It's often said that the pace and complexity of online
poker and its multi-tabling opportunities make it a
young man's game, and the young guns have certainly been
winning an impressive number of big-money tournaments
recently. Targeting this demographic, LifeofSports this
week launched its North America Online College Poker
Championship in partnership with the growing Cake Poker
Network.
College players in North America are being offered a
weekly free roll College Championship by the partners,
with the North America Online College Poker Championship
open to any college or university student within North
America. Participants will be competing for a grand
prize that includes free college tuition for a year and
a trip for two to Cancun, Mexico, worth around $20 000.
"This is the only tournament of its kind in the
country," claims LifeofSports Marketing Director Chris
Neville. "This is the only free play contest solely for
university students and is for North American students
only."
Participants will compete in weekly free roll online
tournaments with the top three finishers each week
moving on to the finals in May 2009. Readers can find
the full detail at Life of Sports.com.
