THE ULTIMATE LOYALTY AWARD - A PORSCHE
30 November 2007
Pokerstars player put in plenty of online poker
time, but it was worth it
A regular player at the Poker Stars.com online poker
site received the ultimate in loyalty awards this week
when he (or she?) cashed in 3 million frequent player
points to claim a glossy new Porsche, replacing former
wheels in the shape of an aging '93 Mazda Miata.
"DDBeast" is apparently a 21 year old American player
and it took about a year for the prolific player to earn
enough points to get the luxury sports car. Players have
to earn at least 100 000 points during a year to become
a Supernova player, and a million in a year to qualify
for the Supernova Elite status that "DDBeast" enjoys.
Starting as an 18 year old college player, DD achieved
enough success to play professionally after graduating
from college and often plays eight to 12 sit-and-go's at
once, with an occasional multi-table tournament to add a
little spice.
With more patience, DD could have had an Aston Martin V8
Vantage - that's worth 5 million points!
