Nordic player readership grows fast

Online Poker Pro Scandinavia, a new magazine devoted exclusively to Internet poker, is now the largest poker publication in Scandinavia, a spokesman revealed this week.

It is the only online poker magazine distributed to all four Scandinavian nations - Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. In addition to its 30 000-copy distribution, 10 000 copies a month are mailed directly to online poker players from the region, which is respected for the large number of top poker players it has produced.

With a growing reputation for entertaining, informative articles and solid strategy advice Online Poker Pro Scandinavia features a unique mix of breaking news from the poker world, player profiles, tips from top pros, tournament results and winning strategies. It also features a roundup of happenings on the major poker websites, satellite schedules and the largest and most comprehensive listing of upcoming big-money online tournaments in the world.

The editor of Poker Pro Europe is John "Johnny Quads" Wenzel, a top player in his own right. "Quads' is also a former newspaper editor and the author of three books on poker.

"Poker is a game of information and decisions," said Wenzel. "If you want to beat the online game, you need the best information and the most up-to-date strategies."

The magazine is published by Poker Pro Media, whose titles include Poker Pro (US), Online Poker Pro (UK) and Poker Pro Europe. There is a website supporting the magazine at pokerpromagazine.se.
