CENTREBET MOBILE GAMBLING DEAL NOW OPERATIONAL
30 November 2007
Planning and development work pay off in
Mfuse-Centrebet collaboration
A mobile gambling collaboration between Australian
online gambling group Centrebet and the UK mobile
technology provider Mfuse reported by InfoPowa late last
year came to fruition this week with the launch of a
fully operational mobile gambling site.
The result of 18 months of development and planning, the
new site was finalised only after the owners converted
to the Orbis OpenBet wagering platform. With its first
operational trial during the recent Spring Racing
Festival down under, the new service performed
admirably.
Increased betting turnover and a broadening of the
Centrebet customer base are the goals of managing
director Con Kafataris, who said: “We foresee a sizeable
revenue improvement over time as a result of the
product’s portability and accessibility, and also as a
flow-on from increased acceptance by consumers of other
java-based mobile products.
“We are confident the convenience and ease of use are
plus factors that will excite punters, as well as appeal
to sports fans who just want to view odds as part of the
sporting experience.
“Certainly our research shows that the service will be
seen as attractive to regular on-line clients on the
strength of them being able to make bets both at and
away from the computer. The service provides a full
complement of bet types meaning it is geared to meeting
the demands of the broadest possible range of racing,
sports and general entertainment wagering fans.”
