Gibraltar-based gambling firm to present 4 days of action in British Columbia


The Gibraltar-based online gambling group Mansion has announced that it is the presenting sponsor for the 3rd Annual B.C. Poker Championships, to be held at the River Rock Casino Resort in British Columbia, between November 18 and 25, 2007.

The company's logo will be prominently displayed on the Main Event Final Table felt during the B.C. Poker Championships, which will be filmed and post-edited into an action-packed two-hour highlights package.

"We are delighted to sponsor Canada's premier poker event," said Mansion's poker ambassador Marc Goodwin. "With hundreds of thousands of dollars being staked over four days of play, and the final table action to be aired on Global TV in December, viewers are in for a thrilling couple of hours of Poker entertainment."

The Championships boast an impressive Cdn$3.6 million overall prize pool, and a Main Event prize pool of Cdn$2.45 million alone is expected to attract international poker professionals, including a growing North American contingent keen to steal the title across the border.

The Main Event is a Cdn$2 500+Cdn$200 buy-in No Limit Texas Hold'em Poker tournament capped at 1 000 players where a first prize of Cdn$612 500 is up for grabs, and the top 10 percent of players will finish in the money. Day One will be split into two flights, and the start-bank set at 15 000 chips.
