Fifty percent increase in latest online poker tournament guarantee


Settling into its new home on the Ongame Network, the online poker division of Gibraltar-based Mansion gambling group showed that it means business this week by boosting the coming weekend's Grand Tournament guaranteed prize pool 50 percent to $300 000.

The Grand Tournament, run as a 'Heat Tournament', offers a unique player-friendly format with two starting heats, or flights, simulating the same slow tournament structure favoured in many major offline events, including the World Series of Poker.

As the ultimate 'slow burner' - with blinds starting at 25/25, 30 minute Levels and a start bank of 10 000 - players can afford to be selective with the hands they get, making it a popular event sure to attract a quality field of skilled online Poker players.

Mansion players can buy-in directly for $1000+$40 or participate in any one of the many online qualifiers throughout the month with buy-ins from as little as $1, with satellites running right throughout this Friday 26 and Saturday 27 October.

Players buying-in directly have a choice of two heats, Friday 26 October (19:00 GMT) or Saturday 27 October (19:00 GMT), and each heat runs for five hours, or until the number of runners drops below 20 percent of the starting field when play freezes.

All remaining players automatically earn a ticket to the Grand Tournament Final (Sunday October 28 at 19:00GMT), with chip stacks carried over from their initial Heat to the Final.

The Grand Tournament, scheduled for the last weekend of every month, is exclusive to the Ongame Network.
