One of online and live poker's great characters to act as ambassador for online poker site
 

Scotty 'the prince of poker' Nguyen will have to watch his cussin' and tournament behaviour to live up to his new post as roving ambassador for the major online poker website Expekt.com, to which he signed exclusively this week.

"I like Expekt.com and its plans," Nguyen said. "It will be fun to be part of Expekt.com's future and help them to make their successful poker even more popular."

"Overall, I will be the face of Expekt.com Poker and play WSOP and more live tournaments in the late summer and autumn," Nguyen said. "It will be great fun, baby."

Nguyen's contract with the poker site starts today (Friday) Dan Vikman, Expekt PR manager revealed. "We are really looking forward to working with Scotty. He is the prince of poker and our poker customers have an exciting 2009 to look forward to with Scotty onboard," he added.

Nguyen can boast over $10 million in career earnings, including wins at the 1998 World Series of Poker Main Event as well as the $50 000 H.O.R.S.E. event at the 2008 WSOP and three other major tourney bracelets.

Vikman said that plans for Nguyen's involvement include an exclusive video blog twice a month and a poker strategy column once a month. And of course Nguyen's high profile will ensure publicity at major global events such as the upcoming World Series of Poker.
