CYBERARTS LANDS F de J ONLINE POKER DEAL
15 May 2009
Play-for-fun model first, but the real thing
available by early 2010
Online gambling software developer Cyberarts has scored
something of a coup in the soon-to-opened French online
gambling market by inking a deal with state monopoly
Francaise des Jeux (FDJ) to provide an online poker
product.
According to reports in igamingfrance,
the American company will have the online poker room up
and running for real money in good time for the start of
the new French Internet gambling era around early 2010,
but will possibly launch free-to-play operations before
then.
The selection of Cyberarts may have been
influenced by that company's success in providing the
software for Gioco Digitale, the first Italian operator
to launch under the more enlightened online gambling
laws in that country. In that instance, Cyberarts and
the client cooperated with the Italian regulatory body
AAMS to ensure that the stringent technical requirements
were met.
