Authentication server for network and application security offers OTP and e-signature capability
 

Nasdaq-listed software security specialist Vasco Data Security International has launched its Identikey product in Europe, making possible full authentication for network and application security through OTP and e-signature capability. The new product is based on Vasco's Vacman technology and is suitable for applications in e-gaming, online gambling, healthcare, automotive, e-banking and VPN access to corporate networks.

The product is particularly suited to excluding underage gamblers in online gambling applications, and can also be integrated by providers of managed services to offer authentication as a service. As a result, authentication is outsourced to a service partner who will invoice the customer for services rendered on a monthly basis while the customer focuses on its core business activities.

Identikey can also be used for all banking services including retail banking, corporate banking, phone banking and mobile banking.

Jan Valcke, Vasco's President and COO, says: "The new features in Identikey have greatly expanded the opportunities to deploy two factor authentication in various target markets. For small enterprises we use our distribution network to offer companies plug-and-play security for remote access, in application security an extra security layer is added to web based applications and for smaller banks we effectively combat Man-in-the-Middle attacks."
