CLONIE'S POKER LAWSUIT DISMISSED (Update)
8 May 2009
Nevada court throws case out "with prejudice"
The multi-milion dollar breach of contract suit against
Full Tilt Poker, associated companies and 13 Team Full
Tilt pros launched late last year by poker pro Clonie
Gowen (see previous InfoPowa reports) has been thrown
out "with prejudice" by a Nevada District Court judge.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert J. Johnston also put
aside a hearing scheduled for end April. His "with
prejudice" ruling means that although Gowen can appeal
his decision, she cannot again file any new claims on
the issue.
However, three of the initial
defendants in the action - Tiltware LLC, it's owner Ray
Bitar, and Full Tilt pro Howard Lederer - were excluded
from the "with prejudice" ruling and could be vulnerable
to further claims from Gowen.
