Mecca Bingo celebrated it's newly revamped website this week with a major win of GBP 111 967, scooped by a player who had staked a mere GBP 1.80 in a late night bingo session.

Belle08 hit the jackpot at the online bingo website when she played the Lucky Ladies 88 slot game after she told colleagues at work that day that she was feeling lucky. She will be travelling to London as a guest of the bingo company to receive her cheque

"At first I thought I had only won GBP 1000 or so," said a still bemused Belle08. "I felt like I had a stroke when I saw that I had won that much, I felt poorly! I couldn't believe it".

A company spokesman said that as a bingo regular, Belle08 plays online bingo at Mecca Bingo but is also a member of the land-based Mecca Bradford.

"Like most bingo regulars I didn't believe that people actually win these amounts of money.... I never thought you could win these amounts online", she said, adding that she planned to share some of her good fortune with her family and wanted to take a trip to Australia.
