NETPLAY BOOSTS PLAYER BASE
30 May 2008
Pitch Entertainment deal will grow player base by
over 3 500
The UK interactive gambling firm NetPlayTV plc has
acquired the entire gaming database of the Pitch
Entertainment Ltd., boosting its player base by over 3
500 players, who last month placed almost GBP 2 million
in gross bets. In addition to the database, for a period
of the 6 months following completion, all visitors to
the Pitch Gaming.com website will re-direct
automatically to NetPlay's Live Roulette.com.
Total consideration for the database is GBP 125 000
which has been paid in cash.
The latest deal follows the recent purchase of the
'Pitch Roulette' Sky Channel 848 (see previous InfoPowa
report). Sky Channel 848 is to be used for the launch of
a brand new service, 'Live BlackJack'. NetPlay has
developed a new, and it claims unique interactive
Internet and TV gaming format to complement its existing
Live Roulette service on Sky Channel 847.
Martin Higginson, Chairman and CEO of NetPlay, says,
"The acquisition of these registered players further
strengthens our
position in 'Live' interactive TV gaming. These 3 500
customers have already demonstrated their desire to
deposit funds and play TV roulette and we are adding
them on the back of acquiring the Sky TV channel they
used to play on."
"This is a further significant step in our goal of
creating Europe's best and biggest converged interactive
gaming experience across TV, Internet and mobile," he
added.
