NEW ONLINE BUY-IN RECORD IN LATEST FULL TILT TOURNEY

At $25 000 a pop, this is one for the confident and wealthy


Online poker website Full Tilt Poker.com has set what is believed to be a new online poker record with its latest tournament offering - a $25 000 buy-in heads up challenge titled $25K Heads-Up World Championship.

The competition takes place online on the 24th and 25th May, a week after the conclusion of the current FTOPS 8 action.

Hosting the event will be Chris Ferguson, himself an NBC National Heads-Up Poker Champion (in 2008) and member of the pro team at Full Tilt. Other Full Tilt stars who have signed up for the big game are Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer and Jennifer Harman. The championship will have a maximum of 64 players.

Leading up to the event Full Tilt is hosting online qualifiers with a $500+35 entry fee. These are scheduled for Thursday, May 22nd and Friday May 23rd, both at 15h00 ET.
