POLITICAL EXPERT JOINS PPA
14 March 2008
Pappas ramps up persuasive power
Drew Lesofski, formerly a senior federal policy adviser
from Washington DC, has joined the Poker Players
Alliance as director of Grassroots and External Affairs,
the pressure group's executive director John Pappas
announced this week.
Lesofski was previously employed in Nevada Governor Jim
Gibbons' team and dealt with a variety of issues, such
as immigration, health care, education and gaming.
This is not his first time working with a grassroots
political organisation, says Pappas. The policy expert
has been involved in a voluntary and professional
capacity with a number of local, state and federal
campaigns prior to his tenure in Washington.
"As we get closer to reaching the million-member
milestone, it is more important than ever for PPA to
find new ways to energize and mobilize our members,"
Pappas commented. "Drew's policy and political campaign
experience will be an asset to PPA as we further refine
and augment our grassroots program."
