CONFERENCE CORNER
16 March 2007
Dublin again....
The International Gaming Conference & Expo (IGCE) has
scheduled its first gathering for 2007, May 6-8, in
Dublin, Ireland once again. The chosen venue destination
is The Burlington Hotel, a four-star locale with
proximity to the city, airport, shopping, tourist
attractions and all that Dublin has to offer.
After examining a number of alternatives, and possible
obstacles such as American enforcement activities of
late, Federico Schiavio, Director of Conferences for the
IGCE, a subsidiary of The Sports Network said that the
choice fell to Dublin.
Dublin, he said is "....accessible for all of Europe and
Asia and we opted for an in-city locale that was best
suited to a conference such as the IGCE. The Burlington
filled the bill and we are now looking at Bangkok for
our Fall (September) conference, for ease of access to
the Far East market as well as Europe."
The focus of the conference in Dublin is billed as
"What's Next?" with an intention to attempt to determine
the direction of the gaming and gambling industries in
the U.S. and abroad, particularly off-shore.
Additional information on the conference is available by
emailing info@igconference.com.
