PokerRoom.com, one of the largest poker sites on the Internet, officially launched the latest version of its popular Mobile Poker application this week, featuring no limit tables, faster game play, improved chat features and a simpler way to cash out winnings - all on mobile phones.

PokerRoom.com was the first poker site in the world to offer real-time poker on mobile phones, claims a spokesman. Mobile Poker 2.0 offers improvements to game flow, usability, and real time no-limit play with a community of web and mobile users from around the world, he says.

The application makes use of the latest security features and is supported by more than 200 handsets from global phone manufacturers such as Nokia, Motorola, SonyEricsson, LG and Samsung.

"Our strategy is to continuously create innovative features for mobile and web-based poker players that help improve their experience and their game," said Karin Klein, spokesperson for PokerRoom.com at its parent group bwin. "This latest version of PokerRoom.com's Mobile Poker has features that cater to both novice and professional players who want to be able to play poker, regardless of whether they're at the beach or waiting for a flight."

One of the most distinctive features of Mobile Poker 2.0 is the ability for users to make deposits and withdrawals to and from a real money account via their mobile phone. The Mobile Poker application can also be played offline allowing users to take advantage of tournament features, play at four different levels - from beginner to expert - and win deposit bonuses.

The new version has other additional features, including No-Limit Poker, improved navigation, sign-up and chat as well as game monitoring statistics. Many of the features offer the ability for users to personalise the game experience, while the improved chat lets users define a list of chat messages that can be posted rapidly when playing.
