SPORTS BETTING SITE FOR MANSION CLOSES
2 March 2007
Indonesian owned online gambling group drops
sportsbetting in favour of betting exchange operations
It looks as if the [denied] rumours back in January
that Mansion group intended to drop sportsbetting (see
InfoPowa News bulletins at the time) had some substance
after all; this week the group closed its international
sportsbetting operations in favour of betting exchange
options.
Back then, the word was that Mansion intended to
restructure with the emphasis on land and online casino
operations after putting its sportsbook facilities
off-limits to US players at the end of that month.
Fast forward to today, and a notification this week on
the Mansion site redirecting sportsbet clients to the
Mansion betting exchange facilities and advising that:
“Effective from 13 February Mansion will suspend service
of our traditional sportsbook product in favour of our
innovative Mansion exchange, a peer-to-peer
sports-betting platform.”
Betters are invited "...to join the thousands of Members
who have already discovered the value of peer-to-peer
Exchange betting. As part of Mansion's ongoing
commitment to offering you hassle free and best value
betting we have enhanced our Mansion Exchange to
incorporate our Sportsbook."
The advisory goes on to pint out the advantages of
exchange betting as:
Better odds
Choice and control
Multiple Point Spreads & Totals
Avoiding the margins of a sportsbook
Welcome Winners
Quick Payouts
Easy Usability
