LITHUANIAN DEAL FOR PARLAY
12 June 2009
Parlay5.1 platform will launch this summer
The Canadian bingo software developer Parlay
Entertainment has signed up Lithuanian national lottery
Olifeja for a gaming suite operating on the Parlay5.1
platform and planned for launch towards the end of the
northern hemisphere summer.
"We are pleased to be
working with one of the true innovators of the on-line
gaming industry," said Mindaugas Marcinkevicius, head of
the on-line initiative for Olifeja. "Olifeja has a
land-based retail network of lottery terminals, a weekly
TV show and a number of unique local Lithuanian games.
Only an open platform like Parlay5 gives us the level of
flexibility and expandability to let us tie them
together as part of a comprehensive gaming strategy."
Peter Trinz, a senior vice president at Parlay,
said: "Parlay is very proud and excited to be chosen as
the technology provider by Olifeja. Our open platform,
internationalization capabilities and new pan-European
services are perfectly suited to the needs of the
national lottery of Lithuania."
Parlay
additionally noted that it had successfully launched
NetPlay TV’s EuroBingo gaming site on its Parlay5
platform, enabling the bingo operator to increase its
available language versions from 4 to 11.
Parlay
chief technical officer Perry Malone said: “With
Parlay5, we can turn around any new language
requirements within a matter of days rather than months.
This gives operators the ability to enter new markets
and respond to changing market demands.”
Gavin
Whyte, Chief Operating Officer for NetPlay TV said that
his company had opted to use the Parlay5 platform for
EuroBingo because it empowered Netplay to combine fully-localised
regional offerings into an essentially pan-European
game.
