5 June 2009
Only 8 months after setting up a support
centre, Irish company reported to be leaving
Unconfirmed reports circulating this week suggest that
the Irish sportsbetting company Boylesports is to close
its multilingual customer support centre in Pueblo
Nuevo, Spain, and has already retrenched some 40 staff
members.
It was only in September last (2008)
year that the company announced a Euro 3 million
investment in a European expansion initiative which
included setting up the centre in Spain . Reasons for
the closure are not clear, and the company has so far
declined to comment on the story.
Last month
Boylesports CEO Daniel O'Mahoney surprised industry
observers by quitting his five year tenure with
immediate effect, citing personal reasons (see previous
InfoPowa report).
