Grocer accused of running football gambling book


Thailand police in the coastal resort town of Pattaya have confirmed the arrest of Tanatorn Champathong (38) on charges of running a gambling book on the Euro 2008 football championship.

In a late night raid on a South Pattaya grocery store, the police claim they caught Champathong at work on a computer that on examination proved to contain a program on the football results in the championship. The computer has been confiscated for further examination, reports the Pattaya Mail.
