g2e Asia chosen to unveil new online casino games
The China-facing and Macau-based online gambling and
mobile game technology provider Pacific Net Inc used the
recent Global Gaming Expo in Macau to showcase its range
of online gambling games developed by subsidiary Pact
Games, expanding its business potential with Asian
online gambling operators.
The company claims that its new iGaming multi-player
software is designed for Asian players, and received
rave reviews from some of the leading casino and iGaming
operators in Asia.
PactGames develops gaming systems, software and hardware
platforms for the land-based and online gambling
industry, primarily targeting the fast growing Asian
gaming market. The latest iGaming products are targeted
at the large number of land-based operators making an
online debut, and include virtual baccarat, sicbo, fish-
prawn-crab, card games, poker, bingo, mobile gaming,
live gaming, land-based kiosk networks, slot, RNG and
fixed-odds games. These are backed by a powerful
management interface that allows the operators to
effectively manage games and user accounts.
PacificNet has over 1 200 personnel in Asia, with 300
engineers engaged in research and development of current
and future gaming technologies for land- based and
online operators.
"We are delighted to introduce our new online gaming
products for the Asian operators," said Tony Tong,
Chairman and CEO of PacificNet. "As Asia has evolved
into the fastest growing market in both land-based and
online gaming, we believe there is a great demand for
our Asian-themed gaming products.
"With our teams of programmers in China and Macau we
believe that our games will better suit the needs and
wants of Asian gamers and operators.
"Addressing the need for multi-station electronic table
games such as sic-bo dice, fish-prawn-crab, baccarat,
roulette and other Asian traditional table games, we
have released a series of multi-player electronic gaming
machines. These include a hybrid sic-bo and baccarat
gaming device which allows a player to make bets at a
sit down electronic terminal while viewing a live dealer
turn the cards or roll the dice by a centralized TV
monitor as well as at the machine.
"We believe that we are the one and only electronic
gaming provider actually based in Macau, giving us a
competitive advantage both on the R&D side, knowing what
Asian gamers want, as well as on the sales and service
side."
"The move into online internet games is a natural
expansion for PacificNet to expand its synergy with many
of its operating subsidiaries in CRM and internet/mobile
partners," said Victor Tong, President of PacificNet.
"PacificNet's subsidiary, MOABC.com, is a leading mobile
internet portal in China with 11 million registered
users and boasts one of the top-ranked mobile internet
sites featuring mobile social networking, mobile games,
and entertainment. With over 11 million registered
users, MOABC is a well-known brand and top-ranked mobile
internet site providing mobile social networking
services to the all-important demographic of young and
trendy mobile users in China.
"We believe that China's internet and mobile gaming and
entertainment market will surge in the coming years as a
result of the expected launch of 3G services. We expect
strong synergies among PacificNet's group of companies
in the mobile e-commerce and gaming areas."
As of the end of 2006, Macau (a Special Administrative
Region of the People's Republic of China) has become the
largest and fastest-growing gaming market in the world
and has already surpassed the Las Vegas Strip in total
revenues. According to statistics provided by Macau
government, in 2006, Macau's gaming revenues exceeded
US$7 billion, surpassing the Las Vegas Strip gaming
revenues of US$6.6 billion. Macau borders Zhuhai City of
Guangdong Province of China, one of the country's
wealthiest and most developed regions and is an hour
away from Hong Kong via ferry.
