NEW ONLINE POKER SOFTWARE TO BE MARKETED BY DOING
POKER.NET
15 June 2007
Ex WSOP tournament director hits the ground
running with DG Holdings
The marketing rights for poker software owned by
international investment group DG Holdings have been
awarded to Doing Poker.net in a deal signed this week
following the recent arrival at DG Holdings of ex-WSOP
tournament director Bob Daily (see previous InfoPowa
reports)
Doing Poker.net is closely associated with the online
poker and casino operator Doing Poker.com, a
multi-language gaming site offering a range of games and
single, multi-table and sit 'n go tournaments that
claims up to 15 000 players use its facilities over peak
periods each day.
Daily revealed that the Doing Poker client would be
available in seven languages to start with and would
offer innovative online poker products not available
elsewhere. DGH is a privately-held, international
investment group with offices in Europe, Asia Pacific
and South East Asia. The DGH gaming division was formed
more than four years ago to develop a state-of-the-art
gaming platform that enables fully-integrated, on-line
gaming operations.
Daily, who joined the board of directors at DGH, left
WSOP organiser Harrah's last month after 11 years in
various management capacities. During his tenure, he
served as the 2005 WSOP Event Manager and 2006 WSOP
Tournament Director, and received the prestigious 2007
Chairman's Award for his efforts.
When Daily joined DGH, a company spokesman said: "We've
had our eye on the industry's 'Poker Czar' for some
time. Bob is the perfect person to provide our board
with the needed gaming insight and to lead our online
gaming initiative into the future. With the launch of
our first licensed poker site next month, we feel the
timing of his appointment and this announcement could
not be more perfect."
