BAHAMAS GAMBLING COPS VISIT AFFILIATES' POKER VENUE
15 June 2007
Licensing snafu causes headaches....but a private
place makes it right
Online gambling marketing affiliates in the Bahamas
for the CAP Spring Break this weekend were on the
receiving end of what appeared to be a licensing snafu
when local gaming authorities nixed a BetUS.com-sponsored
Affiliate World Series of Poker fun tournament.
Delays in the arrival of the necessary paperwork had
organisers hopping, but it all came right in the end
when delegates were whisked off to another part of the
island and a private property, where the tournament went
on, offering prizes that included an all-expenses paid
trip to Barcelona for the next Affiliate World Series of
Poker and a possible $10 000 prize.
When we went to press the winners had yet to be
announced.
