8 June 2007
Reputation Manager upgrade strengthens proactive
fraud management
Anti-fraud software provider Iovation has released an
improved version of its effective ReputationManager
product designed specifically to detect fraud and
abusive behaviour. The product uniquely identifies
devices and uses the reputation of those devices to
guard against online fraud and abuse without impacting
users' experiences or collecting personal information.
Director of product management Vidya Shivkumar says that
ReputationManager has saved clients millions of dollars
in fraud losses over the past 4 years, and the new
release takes the product to the next level by
delivering additional functionality that enables clients
to stay ahead in the fight against fraud.
New benefits include:
Enhanced Device Identification: Without requiring
software downloads, ReputationShield is a highly
accurate device fingerprinting technology that combines
device parameters and sophisticated pattern matching
techniques to uniquely identify a device.
Real-Time Decisioning: Subscribers can, in real-time,
query the reputation of a device using evidence that is
most relevant to the transaction being screened.
Expanded IP Geolocation Data: Subscribers can use the
expanded IP geolocation data for forensic analysis
and/or real-time risk-based decisioning.
Enhanced Reports & Decision Support: Suspicious online
behaviour can be discovered using reports such as
frequency of account creation from a specific device.
Redesigned screens provide fraud managers an instant
snapshot of associated accounts and devices along with
intuitive visual indicators to reduce analysis time.
Decision-support tools enable generation and
distribution of customised reports such as suspicious
geolocation activity.
Headquartered in Portland, Oregon Iovation pioneered the
use of device reputation for managing online fraud,
abusive behaviour and multi-factor authentication.
Today, the company manages the reputation of millions of
Internet-enabled devices worldwide, allowing its
customers to control online fraud and abuse while
benefiting from sharing device reputation intelligence.
