BACCARAT ADDED TO LIVE DEALER CASINO
3 July 2009
Popular game joins blackjack in the gaming
suite
Smart Live Casino.com, which is regulated by the UK
Gambling Commission and offers live dealer gambling over
the Internet and interactive television via SkyTV, has
added baccarat to its gaming suite.
A company
spokesman says the addition follows significant growth
in the existing live roulette and live blackjack action
the company offers. Using the more liberal approach to
interactive television gambling now in force in the UK,
the games are online every night at 9pm (GMT).
Online baccarat has seen steady growth in popularity
mainly because it is so easy to play, the spokesman
explained. There are three main versions of Baccarat and
the one that Smart Live offers is the "Punto Banco"
variant, which is the easiest version to play. Players
are not required to take any action except on whether to
bet on "Dealer" (Banco) or "Player" (Punto) or a tie or
a combination of these. In basic terms, cards are dealt
for each and the one that totals closest to 9 wins. Face
cards and tens have no value in baccarat.
The
online casino has also announced that it is currently
planning the launch of several more new live dealer
games in the coming weeks.
