HIGH STAKES POKER TO RUN FOR ANOTHER SEASON
25 July 2008
GSN will screen fifth season of televised poker
action
The popularity of the televised poker show "High Stakes
Poker" was confirmed again this week by an announcement
from Game Show Network that the cash-game spectacular
will be screened again this year - its fifth season.
HSP boasts one of the highest ratings on the network,
and is expected to begin filming new episodes in
September 2008, according to co-host A.J. Benza, who
along with Gabe Kaplan will be returning for the new
season.
The announcement ends months of speculation that the
show, despite its high ratings, may be canned due to
changing audience demographics.
