UK PLAYER WINS FIRST EUROPEAN BINGO CHAMPS
11 July 2008
Paddy Poker event attracts entry field of over 660
players
The continuing popularity of online bingo was
illustrated this week when more than 660 entrants
registered for Paddy Power's inaugural European Bingo
Championships.
Robert Robinson from Nottinghamshire in England won the
championship and a Chevrolet Aveo car, revealing that it
had taken him two hours solid to slug it out and qualify
for the final, but it was well worth it. "I'm glad
England weren't in Euro 2008 [football championship) now
or I might not have entered and won the car!" said
Robinson.
Other prizes included a weekend in Paris, a home
makeover, one year of free flights, one year of free
bingo and laptops and flat screen televisions.
Paddy Power spokesmen said that the obvious popularity
of the event means it will be repeated in the future.
