UK Bookie opens new casino and poker website


The UK land betting company Corbetts Bookmakers has diversified into the online gambling environment with a new Playtech powered online casino and poker website at Corbett Casino.com and Better Bet Corbett.co.uk. The operational management is through Inside Gaming.

Corbett is a family-owned operator with over 60 betting shops in the north of England, which claims to be among the fastest growing betting companies in Britain. Founded in 1947 by Sydney Corbett and his son William Thomas Corbett, the company initially focused on telephone credit bookmaking with a starting capital of GBP 1 000. It has grown to 61 betting shops situated between Aberystwyth and York, and a host of prominent betting pitches on racecourses throughout the UK including the prestige meetings at Royal Ascot and Cheltenham.
