The London and Toronto listed skill gaming group Fun
Technologies has announced changes at the top, with four
directors departing, among them co-founder and industry
veteran Andrew Rivkin.
Rivkin and the present CEO and President, Lorne Abony,
founded FunTech in 2002, and the giant Liberty Media
group is heavily invested and holds a controlling
interest in the company, which lists Skilljam among its
holdings. Rivkin is one of the founders of the top
online gambling turnkey provider and games developer
Cryptologic, too.
Leaving with Rivkin are Mark Carleton, Harvey Solursh
(another former Crypto exec) and John Albright. Three
new board members have been appointed to fill the empty
chairs: David Goldhill, a senior advisor to private
equity fund Liberty Associated Partners and Current
Communications; J David Wargo, president of Wargo &
Company, a private investment company specialising in
the communications industry and William Brock, who
retired from the Toronto-Dominion Bank in January 2000
as deputy chairman and director.
The departures are reported to have been amicable.
