GIOCO DIGITALE GETS THE EDGE IN ITALIAN CASH BINGO
22 January 2010
Regulator AAMS awards licence
The Italian online gambling operator Gioco Digitale,
which was acquired in September last year by Austrian
remote gaming giant Bwin, has become the first operator
to offer its customers online bingo with cash prizes in
Italy.
The company announcement followed its
successful compliance with the licensing requirements of
local regulator AAMS, and means that the company becomes
the first into the Italian real cash bingo market.
Industry observers are predicting rapid growth for
the sector, basing their estimates on the runaway
success of Italian-dedicated online poker last year.
“We are proud to be the first operator to offer an
online gaming platform for cash prizes in full obedience
of current rules and regulations," said Paolo Di Feo,
Director General of the Bwin Italia - Gioco Digitale
Group. "We can offer an easy game deeply rooted in our
culture, with the chance to win hundreds of Euros on
betting a few Euro cents”.
