NINE NEW GAMES FROM GTECH G2
15 January 2010
Latest offerings come on a no-download
platform
GTech G2, the online gambling group that includes Boss
Media, Dynamite Idea, Finsoft and St Minver, has
launched a major update to its instant games casino
inventory that brings the portfolio to 53 games.
The total portfolio including download, instant and
third party content is now well over 300 games, a
company spokesman revealed this week.
The latest
update adds 3 new slots, a new video poker game,
American Roulette and Showdown poker, 2 new instant win
games, new scratch cards and a new virtual horse racing
game branded Virtual Derby.
Recognising the
growing importance of the Eastern European markets, the
update also includes support for Bulgarian, bringing
available language versions to 13 in all.
“2009
was a busy year. With all of our new collaborations and
partnerships, we launched quite a collection of new
games,” said Dominic Mansour, head of casino operations.
“Our own Games Studio team has more incredible products
in development for 2010 and, thanks to the flexibility
of our advanced back-end systems, we’ll continue to
aggregate games from other sources to maintain a
comprehensive collection of innovative products.”
The group's three new instant-play slots - Maya
Gold, Lucky’s Diner and Rome - capture players’
imaginations with popular themes and extend their
playing time with free games and bonus rounds, said
Mansour, adding that the new Virtual Derby online horse
racing game is perhaps the most innovative of all the
new games now available to licensees.
The first
in a series of Track Day games, Track Day – Virtual
Derby is a fixed odds single player horse racing game
that incorporates movie clips. Players can place Win,
Place, Show Quinella and Exacta wagers and then watch a
video animation of the race.
“Virtual Derby is
developed by Solid Icon and has been integrated into
GTech G2’s aggregated product line-up alongside games
developed by our internal games development teams as
well as other developers,” said Henrik Fagerlund, who
heads GTech's Instant Games Development department.
GTech plans a further update and more new games, the
release of which will coincide with the important
ICE-IGE show in London towards the end of this (January)
month.
