POKERSTARS PULLS PLAYERS FROM POKER TV PROGRAM
23 January 2009
Marketing differences apparently at the root of
dispute
The NBC televised poker program "Poker After Dark" took
a hit this week with the announcement that the world's
largest online poker operation, PokerStars, hs withdrawn
its team from the event.
Online poker information portal WickedChopsPoker reports
that PokerStars recently informed its players of the
decision, which is thought to have been prompted by
differences over marketing with second largest online
poker provider Full Tilt Poker, which sponsors the show.
