ENTERTAINMENT

Canadian online gambling software developer's
Malta subsidiary gets the nod
The Canadian-headquartered online bingo software
provider Parlay Entertainment has joined a select group
of thirty companies that have achieved a licence isued
by the UK Gambling Commission to develop, supply and
install online gambling software. The licence has been
granted through Parlay’s subsidiary Parlay Malta
Limited.
Parlay boasted that it is the only bingo software
developer in the world to do so in a statement this
week. The licence allows Parlay to deploy its software
to clients who are headquartered in the UK, or to remote
companies who target the UK market.
The company additionally holds a class four gaming
software provider’s licence in Malta and is a certified
gaming software provider in the Isle of Man.
“We’re thrilled to have been granted a UK licence,” said
Steve Cook, Parlay’s managing director for Europe. “It
means we’ll be able to continue serving our existing
UK-based licensees as well as signing up new ones. We’re
also pleased that we are currently the only online bingo
developer to receive a remote gambling software licence
in the UK.”
As a licensed Gambling Software supplier, Parlay is
required to abide by the Gambling Act 2005, and its
three licensing objectives: keeping crime out of
gambling, ensuring that gambling is conducted fairly and
openly, and protecting children and vulnerable people
from being harmed or exploited by gambling.
Over 50 operators use the Parlay bingo software, and the
company is currently planning to launch its latest
product, Parlay 5: Bingo Without Borders at the upcoming
ICEi show later this month.
