New Irish Poker Champ takes home Euro 114 000
The new Irish Poker Champion is John Clancy, who beat 300 other determined poker
players this week in Dublin to take home the Euro 114 000 winner's check, a
little down from expectations following a deal late in the deciding game to
split the pot among the last three players.
Scott Bryant took second place and Euro 75 000, and the number 3 slot was filled
by Ciaran Burke (Euro 55 000)
Played at the City West Hotel for a prizepool totalling Euro 423 000, the Texas
Hold 'Em freeze out championship produced some outstanding and tension filled
poker right through to the final table and the ultimate finish.
