ICE ATTRACTIONS
12 January 2007
With the London show only weeks away, exhibitors
are previewing their products
The International Casino Exhibition at Earl's Court in
London, UK takes place between 23 and 25 January and
exhibitors are already enticing industry execs with
previews of interesting products.
StreamTech Gaming will be putting casinos in the picture
- literally - with what spokesmen describe as a
significant breakthrough in land-based remote casino
gaming technology as the company unveils its signature
Live Gaming Platform. StreamTech claims that its
embedded and proprietary streaming IPTV technology
delivers crystal clear live video and audio, enabling
casino owners to extend the excitement of their gaming
tables to the worldwide player, live via the Internet or
directly to kiosks in multi-location environments.
Rebecca Zur, vice president of marketing at StreamTech
Gaming, says: “Casino patrons want the casino brands
they recognise, a method of play they can trust, and the
high quality gaming experience to which they're
accustomed. Any solution that is less than TV quality
broadcast will never convince the real gambler to play
online.” Her CEO, Eran Tobul added: “By land-based
casinos opening up their gaming floor to remote players
across the world, there’s an unprecedented opportunity
for the casino to enhance and broaden casino-player
possibilities and dramatically increase its yearly
revenue.
"Playing on my favourite roulette table in Monaco, while
my wife in London plays on her PC looking at the same
gaming table, is where technology has now taken us.”
StreamTech Gaming will be exhibiting at ICE 2007 on
Stand 3605.
The growing importance of reliable licensing and
regulatory jurisdictions will again be highlighted by
the presence of government licensing bodies from the
Isle of Man, Alderney and Malta, with the latter
bringing a significant number of Malta-based remote
gaming companies/suppliers to complement its impressive
139.5sqm footprint. States of Alderney/Alderney Gambling
will be exhibiting at ICEi on Stand 5204, Isle of Man
Government on Stand 5405 and Malta Lotteries and Gaming
Authority on Stand 5200.
Show organisers Clarion ATE predict that the 2007
edition of ICEi will be by far the biggest showcase in
the history of the remote gaming expo. 60 companies from
20 different territories had confirmed their stand space
by the beginning of January, occupying total net floor
space of 1 458 square metres. Over half of the
exhibitors will be making their first appearance at ICEi
and comparing these figures with 2006, the number of
exhibitors has increased by 36 percent (44 in 2006),
represented territories by 67 percent (12 in ‘06), net
floor space by 65 percent (881.5sqm in ‘06), and the
number of new exhibitors by 129 percent (14 in ’06).
Most of the leading turnkey providers will be present,
along with a wide range of associated sectors such as
cash processors, affiliate marketing companies and
security technology outfits.
