POKERSTARS DROPS MACAU MILLIONS
10 February 2012
'Postponement' is indefinite
The postponement of the Macau Millions reported
recently (see previous InfoPowa report) has been
confirmed by the Pokerstars blog, which announced this
week that the project will cease next month for an
indefinite period.
The online poker giant gave
no reasons for the decision, although its local manager
Danny McDonagh did comment to Macau Business:
"Our current agreement to operate PokerStars Macau
events and tournaments at Casino Grand Lisboa will
expire in March. We will provide an update on Macau
Millions and live poker tournaments in the near
future."
The last element of the Macau Millions
- the Red Dragon which commences February 18 - will
likely be the last for the foreseeable future as far as
Pokerstars is concerned and will run to February 26.
