Live pricing and event updates pushed directly to customers’ web pages and betslips

Online gambling software developer Orbis Technology Ltd., has successfully successful launched its latest technology product, LiveOdds.

Now live on the OpenBet platform, this new technology boasts the ability to push live pricing and event updates directly to customers’ web pages and betslips.

With LiveOdds, operators do not need to source pre-packaged live betting applications but can build and design their own, using their technology of choice, and have LiveOdds stream price updates as they happen.

A company spokesman said this week that the ability to stream data directly from the database to the players’ screen in real time, without the need to refresh was at the core of the new development.

"LiveOdds is built on Orbis’ new LiveServ technology which enables the delivery of live messages, content and data directly to customers," the spokesman said. "As a pivotal element of OpenBet, LiveServ has been designed as a highly scalable and flexible ‘push’ server which provides support for the widest range of browsers and front-end technologies."

LiveChatroom, the second product based on the LiveServ technology, is already in the final stages of development and opens up LiveServ to two-way traffic. Using LiveChatroom operators can connect customers on their sites through chat rooms and are able to set up private conversations for customer support.

"LiveChatroom can be used anywhere on an operator’s site, from the home page to live betting portals, through to side panels on fixed-odds games," the Orbis spokesman said. "LiveChatroom connects customers to a community, enhancing the experience and improving customer retention."

The major Irish online betting group Paddy Power is the first operator to adopt the new technology as a longstanding Orbis Openbet partner.
