Playtech-GTS deal allows for a wider games offering

Virgin Games CEO Simon Burridge was in a bullish frame of mind this week, predicting double digit growth for the company's online gambling interests in 2010, a hundred new games this year alone and a new platform two and a half years in the making - presumably in collaboration with cross-platform specialists Gaming Technology Solutions Ltd, which was acquired by Playtech plc late last year (see previous InfoPowa reports)

Burridge said: "We now have a bespoke built platform capable of bringing on the best games from a multitude of providers, making us one of the most diverse online gaming companies in the UK market,” and advised that the group's player base has been migrated to the new bingo, casino and poker platform.

The platform is backed by round-the-clock UK-based Support and an affiliate software system developed in-house with revenue share and CPA affiliate campaigns available to affiliate marketers.

Burridge claims that since September last (2009) year, the company's revenues have grown 20 percent in a difficult market, with over GBP 450 million wagered through its operations.

As reported in previous InfoPowa bulletins, Virgin signed a partnership agreement with online gambling software giant Playtech plc recently which makes the newly acquired GTS company's EdGE flexible platform engine available, together with an additional range of games from the Playtech and GTS inventories.

Warren Eloff, Product Manager at Virgin Casino, commented:

We plan to roll out over 100 games this year and among them will be some top brand names, providing our customers with sophisticated and exciting games that they have come to expect from us. Founded in 2004, Virgin Casino has over 500 000 players and 50 casino games on its site. Virgin offers games from a growing selection of games producers, including: WagerWorks, Cryptologic, Freemantle, Endemol, Dynamite Idea, VS Gaming and Ash Gaming.

Virgin Poker, part of the Boss Media IPN network, offers a huge array of games and content for beginners through to experienced pros.

Virgin Bingo, part of the Virtue Fusion network, offers cash prizes worth thousands of pounds in the progressive jackpots, as well as Virgin prize bingo and a range of unique Virgin Games bingo games. Virtue Fusion was recently acquired by Playtech plc.
