Affiliate marketer beats 63 opponents to take $6
000 main prize
The Affiliate Series of Poker tournament that has now
become a traditional part of Casino Affiliate Program
conferences attracted 64 entrants this year, and was
held in London. The event seated 64 players, whittled
down from the almost 500 affiliate marketers who tried
to qualify.
The 2009 ASOP - a Texas Hold 'Em freeze-out competition
- was sponsored by the Affiliate Club and Everest
Affiliates programs, and was won by André Boeck, an
affiliate marketing professional who owns the Poker-freak.eu
website and walked away with the tournament’s $6 000
prize and the ASOP white, gold, and diamond bracelet.
The event attracted a large number of spectators who
were attending the conference.
Boeck, who has played in previous ASOP tourneys, most
recently in Cyprus and Barcelona, said: "The ASOP
tournament is a welcome relief after all the
[conference] appointments. The last three times, my
tournament results got better and better, and this time
I finally managed to win the tournament! I hope that
tournament series continues for a long time.”
“Our warmest congratulations are extended to André, who
played like a champ,” commented Lou Fabiano, CAP’s
founder and president. “Year in and year out, the ASOP
continues to be among the most exciting parts of CAP
events, and this was no exception. Thanks to everyone
who played, and those who didn’t qualify — better luck
next time!"
The next ASOP tournament will he held in March at the
CAP Spring Break event in Cancun, Mexico.
