Punch Taverns group recruits Ladbrokes marketing director


Ladbrokes headquarters marketing specialist Barry Clemo is to join the Punch Tavern group of public houses in the near future, the company said in a brief announcement this week.

Unconfirmed reports in The Barkeeper industry journal suggest that is Clemo is taking on the top marketing role in Punch’s managed division, Spirit.

Clemo is no stranger to the group, having at one time worked at Spirit when it was a privately owned company under CEO Karen Jones. Prior to Ladbrokes, Clemo spent time as marketing director for Gala Coral. He was the driving force behind Ladbrokes becoming the first high street bookmakers to advertise on TV.
