A CRACK AT LADBROKE'S MILLION DOLLAR TOURNEY
29 February 2008
Ladbrokes Poker Million VII runs through to June
2008
Card players around the globe can have a crack at
millions in the latest Ladbrokespoker.com tournament.
The Ladbrokes Poker Million VII is Europe's longest
running televised tournament and from this month through
to June 29, players can qualify exclusively for a
package worth $20 000 to play in one of the 12 televised
6 seat heats.
This time round there is a twist to the poker tournament
proceedings. As it did last year, Ladbrokes will allow
the cream of sponsored poker players to buy their way
into the heats for this event, giving other entrants the
rare opportunity to compete against some of the best
players in the world.
This year Ladbrokes Poker will be adding four additional
semi-final seats, two of which will be won online
exclusively at Ladbrokes whilst the televised show is
being broadcast in September through November 2008. The
two other additional semi-final seats will be played for
in two televised six handed second chance tournaments by
the runners-up in the 12 televised heats.
The new format gives everyone the chance to follow in
the footsteps of snooker whizz Jimmy White, EPT founder
John Duthie, Donnacha O'Dea, peoples champ Raj Modha and
most recently poker millionaire The Hendon Mobs' Joe
Beevers for as little as $1 in one of the multiple daily
online poker super satellites on Ladbrokespoker.com.
These feed into regular daily and weekly finals, and to
sweeten the pot, Ladbrokes will be adding a massive $500
000 in prize money and the first prize will as usual be
a guaranteed cool $1 000 000.
The Ladbrokespoker.com Poker Million VII poker
tournament heats will be broadcast every Tuesday from
the 9th Sept - 9th December on Sky Sports 2. The semi
finals and final will be broadcast live in December.
