Online poker company to send players to the South African Open


Four Titan Poker online players will be packing suntan lotion, safari gear and cameras for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to South Africa following a decision to send a 4 man team to compete in the South African Poker Open.

Three of the players will travel from Canada to attend this exciting South African event, and the fourth player will fly from The Netherlands, arriving in Africa this week.

All four players won their seats through a series of super satellites, which were staged weekly at the popular poker room. This is the first time that Titan Poker will send players to this top rated event in South Africa, which is rapidly growing in international reputation as a premier poker destination.

The players have been awarded $8 000 prize packages to the South African Poker Open, which will be staged at the Italianesque MonteCasino in Johannesburg from the 5th to the 11th of February. In addition to free entry to the Main Event, flights and accommodation, the Titan Poker players will attend cocktail parties, galas and have the opportunity to explore some of this beautiful and fascinating land.

Mike Byrd (29) from Canada is one of the players who will be representing Titan Poker in South Africa.

He said: "I've been playing online for around four to five years - but this will be the first big buy-in tournament that I have ever participated in so I am very excited."
