Another record month's turnover for in-running
software firm
In-running gambling software firm Global Interactive
Gaming has announced record turnover of GBP 1.9 million
for the month of January 2008, a 26 percent rise on the
previous record of GBP 1.5 million achieved in October
2007 (see previous InfoPowa report).
GIG's parent group, Interactive Systems Worldwide, Inc.
announced record monthly wagering volume from the
operation of the SportXction system in the UK this week.
The numbers represent the largest monthly turnover yet
recorded by GIG, and a 260 percent increase over the
turnover in January 2007 of GBP 533 000.
Other significant milestones were reached in January.
The hold (i.e. the total amount retained by the system
after winning wagers are paid) for January surpassed
pounds GBP 100 000 for the first time, reaching pounds
GBP 131 000 or a hold percentage of 6.82 percent of the
total amount wagered.
Over a million wagers have been accepted on the wagering
markets managed by the integrated version of the
SportXction System.
Company officials said they were greatly encouraged by
the continued rise in business.
