Isle of Man-based turnkey provider recognised at CAP Awards


The industry contribution of Isle of Man-based Internet gambling software provider Microgaming has been acknowledged at the inaugural Casino Affiliate Program Awards 2008, held last Friday night. The citation for ‘Best Software’ – presented at a glittering gala dinner in Chelsea Football Club - recognises the company's continued dedication to providing market leading technologies and games that continue to drive higher lifetime customer values.

Both nominations and voting spanned three months and was open to the online gambling affiliate community through CAP Magazine, mail-in forms and online.

Roger Raatgever, Microgaming's CEO, said: “We are delighted to win this award, especially since we know that this has come directly from the affiliate community at large. As one of the pioneers of this industry, we feel we have a responsibility to drive it forward, both in terms of games and technology development.

"To receive recognition for our work directly from the affiliate community is a strong validation of our continued hard work. We would like to thank all those that voted for us.”

The CAP Euro conference which preceded the awards night, attracted over 1 000 attendees and 45 sponsors. After several days of partying, networking, and manning sponsor stands, over 500 affiliates and operators turned out to witness the first ever Casino Affiliate Program award-winners.

The event commenced with a champagne reception where guests were greeted by gold-dusted beauties, towers of fire, magicians and a Shirley Bassey impersonator.
