POKER HOST MOVING TO MICROGAMING POKER NETWORK

Online poker site finds a new home after Tribeca pull-out
In earlier bulletins InfoPowa reported on the
imminent US pull-out of the Tribeca Tables network,
which was acquired by turnkey provider Playtech last
year. The withdrawal has placed several of the network's
sites, including Doyle's Room, Golden Palace,
Straightflush and Poker Host on notice that their US
days, at least with Tribeca, are numbered.
Poker Host has announced that it plans to depart Tribeca
for the growing Microgaming Poker Network, which
services over 40 online sites and accepts players in all
but 11 of the US states.
A spokesman for the site revealed that the move would
take place in the near future, saying: "We at Poker Host
will still be accepting US players and therefore we will
move to a new network, Prima Poker/ Microgaming. However
the following states are banned for playing poker at
Prima:
Michigan
Illinois
Louisiana
Oregon
Wisconsin
Washington
Indiana
Nevada
South Dakota
New York
New Jersey"
The Tribeca announcement has placed sites still
operating in the USA on the network under increased
pressure to either develop a new network or join other
networks that still accept US players.
