CONFERENCE CORNER
4 December 2009
Get up to speed on cybercrime
We're closing in on the end of the year, and its time to
start thinking about 2010's important conferences. Few
are as vital as Combating Cybercrime, which takes
place on 26th January 2010 - conveniently in the same
timeframe as the must-attend IGE show and in the same
Earls Court, London location.
Delegates will hear
the best and most interesting case studies, direct from
the experts that lead effective teams in fighting
Cybercrime every day.
The full Combating
Cybercrime brochure - which details the packed day’s
learning agenda and all the expert speakers - can be
downloaded here:

Supported by Gamshield, eCOGRA, EGBA, RGA, IMGL and
IGC, this is an invaluable resource that allows for
in-depth learning, targeted networking and a perfect
chance to catch up with all that’s new in the fight
against fraud and Cybercrime.
Another reason to
travel to London for the IGE
IGE 2010 will take
place from January 26 to 28, 2010 at London’s Earls
Court Exhibition Centre alongside the co-located Betting
Show, ICEi and Amusement Trades Exhibition International
(ATEI) events.
But there's now another reason to
travel to London, and that's Clarion Gaming's
International Casino Conference, which has been designed
as a one-day symposium under the stewardship of the
European Casino Association, and is open to all industry
professionals on January 25.
“After last
January’s successful inaugural event, industry insiders,
chief executive officers, experts, operators, regulators
and opinion leaders will again converge on the ICC for
frank and revealing discussions on the most pressing
issues currently being faced by the European casino
industry,” says statement from Clarion.
“High on
the agenda will be the impact that rising unemployment
and greater job insecurity is having on disposable
incomes and discretionary spend alongside growing
competition from online and remote gaming channels,
European Union regulations affecting operators’ ability
to maintain revenue bases and the rising tide of
competing new products from the media, telecoms and
other sectors.”
The ICC has been designed to
analyse how the casino industry is responding to these
and other challenges while also seeking to identify
major opportunities and threats over the coming year.
