Croatians spend HRK 6.6 billion annually on gambling

 

The Jutarnji List daily newspaper reports that Croatians spend an estimated HRK 6.6 billion (about Euro 920 million) on gambling annually.

Last year HRK 5.4 billion went on the races, HRK 746 million was spent on lotteries, about HRK 1 billion was wagered on gambling machines at clubs and HRK 350 million was gambled at land casinos, the newspaper reported.
