Andrewes joins UK betting giant in March
Ladbrokes has appointed Ed Andrewes as managing director
of its online gambling operations. Andrewes, who has
over ten years experience in the online betting and
gaming industry, will begin his new role on March 1st
and will report to John O'Reilly, managing director of
eGaming and Telephone Betting.
Andrewes began his career in the industry as general
manager at PA Sporting Life before becoming commercial
director at Blue Square soon after it was founded. He
was instrumental in the acquisition of Blue Square by
Rank in 2003. More recently he has worked in Gibraltar
both as managing director for Victor Chandler
International and Development Director for the AIM
listed 32Red plc.
Ladbrokes eGaming has also appointed Liz Hillock as Head
of CRM and Player Retention. She has over 7 years
experience in online marketing and has for the past 5
years worked for Tiscali UK, most recently as Head of
CRM. Prior to this she worked for the auction site QXL
Ricardo.
Commenting on the appointments John O'Reilly said: "We
